WHITE DRESS FASHION SHOW

Here are some photos from the Seaplane fashion show, namely of Sara Moen's (aka Decora) dress. Watch out for her, she's supah talented.

"Nothing is what it seems" said Alicia. Seth replies "Except for some things..."

Disclaimer: SO - Blogger would not let me post yesterday. I created this post, tried to post it, and failed because the blogger guy was sick, our network here was slow, my computer is old: one or all of these reasons. The interesting thing about this post, is that I don't really feel this way anymore. Today I feel really tired from staying out too late.

mi·sol·o·gy: Greek misologia, from misein + -logia -logy:
a hatred of argument, reasoning, or enlightenment
I think that a slight confidence deficiency is taking up too much of my time…
I'm wondering if admitting that I don't know what I'm doing better than PRETENDING.

What's the difference between pretending and not pretending anyway?

So... I had it out with the girl who's driving everyone nuts. I told her she should chill the fuck out…and by the end of it, I think she go the point and may have even appreciated my input. Seth says I care too much…

PERHAPS: I LIKE ADRENALIN. I ENJOY being UPSET and then laughing...being... emotionally stimulated…some people squirt adrenalin directly into their veins…some even-out their overflow with vicodin…or religion.

Then there is the mediocre approach, perfected by the Taoists, and the Danish. Attempting to balance one's energy with good/bad..laugh/upset…life/death. Trying trying trying trying to stay in the middle of the continuum. MY PROBLEM:..my dilemma is... rather than balancing good and bad, I balance ADRENALIN with GUILT.

Our objects, as you know, are to ensure a more natural union between intellectual and manual labor than now exists; to combine the thinker and the worker, as far as possible, in the same individual; to guarantee the highest mental freedom, by providing all with labor, adapted to their tastes and talents, and securing to them the fruits of their industry; to do away with the necessity of menial services, by opening the benefits of education and the profits of labor to all; and thus to prepare a society of liberal, intelligent, and cultivated person, whose relations with each other would permit a more simple and wholesome life, than can now be led amidst the pressures of our competitive institutions." -Brook Farm

THEN: there are the rules and THEN: there is the implementation of those rules. These activities are not the same and require a great deal of accuracy…which is why I don't sew or bake...or bungee jump.

Concluding: I think my art might suck a little because I started thinking about what other people would like…what other people might want to look at. THIS IS GREEDY. GOOD ART this will not make. By nature, I'm skeptical.

Moral:
To experience without intention is to sense the world;

To experience with intention is to anticipate the world.
These two experiences are indistinguishable;

Their construction differs but their effect is the same.

- Tao Te Ching
