Hello my friends and random Internet browsers...although, really, the chances of someone randomly coming across this page are like 1 in ten hundred million so....

Hello my friends. Hope all is well back in the Northwest (people here still say “out west"), where the air is clean and most of the people are white. AH, Cinderella (the 80's heavy metal hair band, not the Disney character) was right, "You don't know what you got, till it's gone...."

However, we are here and here we are, chugging along, making the best of being old and tired and confused. We'll be having some parental visitors this evening so hopefully entertaining company will force us to get out and see the bit of this town. People always ask us "how are you liking Baltimore"...with a lift at the end, like it's a rhetorical question…but conversely there's this part of them that's defensive, like if you call it a "shit hole" or "scary", they're offended. Anyway, it's probably like that everywhere.

The other day, I went back to a previous post wherein I was bitching about something about Japanese people and birds. I decided (RIGHT THEN) to re-evaluate my ideas regarding ARTING. These first few weeks of graduate school have been forcing me into the depths of low fi, childlike, accessible, simple lazy crap. Like leaving the magnetic lasso cut out blinking on the sreen, those little dashes eagerly asking: "tell me what's next, cut, paste, what?"... or creating a simple animation like this one (beware, it's at least PG13) http://userpages.umbc.edu/~apenner1/Alicia%20.mov

What can I say, I can’t help it. I think, I write things down, I get stoned, and I make things. I am also aware that this can’t last forever…
